First things first, this is a partial GIP to show off my Timmy. I can't believe I haven't had an icon previously of my boy, but now I do. Hee. Timmy!

Second of all, I just got an awesome concert call from my friend and co-worker Jess. She's in Mountain View, CA seeing John Mayer and she called me during "Vultures"--which is one of my favorite songs. He sounded awesome! It made me smile tonight.

My vacation has been great. Dad and I spent two days at Disneyland and we had such a nice time. We spent the first day at California Adventure and rode an incredibly awesome roller coaster. Ran into an ATL client as well, which made my dad laugh. I was wearing my red Fresno State shirt and we had people stopping us in regards to our Bulldogs and the College World Series. Heh. The second day we got up very early and got to the main park right as the gates were opening. Dad and I got right on all the big stuff, and we had tons of fun. We rode all the good stuff and then went back to the hotel to nap for a couple of hours. We went back that afternoon and rode Pirates again, and did a few other rides, including the Jungle Cruise, which I hadn't been on in years. Good times. We shopped, and I got pins for all of my managers, and a new baseball Mickey antenna ball for Sam the Saturn. We didn't make it to the fireworks, as we were freakin' exhausted, but we got to see one of the awesome parades. Dad got some great pics--as soon as Mom cleans them up a bit and gets them on CD, I'll post some here and on MySpace. So yeah, an awesome, awesome trip. Yippee!

Back to work tomorrow. I've missed my team, but it's been so nice to be away from things for the week, let me tell you. I feel much better now that I've had this time off. I wish I could have been writing, but hey, the muse has been relatively useless lately.

Bed soon, methinks. Ugh. ;)

I am freakin' free! I'm officially on vacation until next Sunday. Dad and I leave for two days at Disneyland on Tuesday morning, and I am beyond excited. I've been packing tonight and thinking of other things I need to get tomorrow. But then, Tuesday and Wednesday are full days at Disneyland and we'll head home on Thursday morning, I would guess. Note to self: go to the ATM and get money! Meep.

Worked a half day today and after work, I went to Target to get a gift for my "niece" Charlotte's birthday. The dad ended up calling and we decided to go see "The Dark Knight". We ended up having to go to a later matinee (as it was packed!) and so we went to dinner first. Then, the movie. Dear lord, it was awesome. Just--freakin' amazing. I'm still all "..." over it. Gah. Want to see it again--badly.

Spent the evening doing laundry and adding a few new songs to H the iPod. [livejournal.com profile] brightillusions will be proud that I finally added some Vince to the mix. Heh.

Dad's taking Sam the Saturn in for an oil change tomorrow, and I'll be at Target and Best Buy at some point. Am going to attempt to find an iPod adapter for my car. If not, at least we'll have my XM radio. Haha. Of course, I'm sure I have CD's in the car. I know Lady A is in there, and Keith Urban, naturally.

Also need to make sure I have my book in my bag somewhere. I'm currently on book 7 of Jim Butcher's The Dresden Files. I adore Harry--and Bob, of course. My mom got me hooked on this series, and we're plowing through them. I need to make sure to take book 8 with me too.

So many things running through my head right now. Am glad to be free from work, but at the same time, this will be my first week of not being involved with the business since we opened and I'm a bit freaked out. I know that my team will be fine, but gah, it's nervewracking at the same time!

Bed now, I suppose. Maybe. Good night.

This week has been very nice so far. I've been on vacation since Sunday, and I've hoently done very little. I've cleaned up the apartment, and I've gone shopping a bit, but nothing major. I saw the parents on Sunday for Eric's confirmation (wherein I was in a church for 4 hours...meep) and on Tuesday when I went out to the house to do major laundry.

Tonight myself, Rach, Lallen, Lauren, Diana, and probably Kimberly are going to Red Robin for dinner. Should be a lot of fun. We're trying to get Rach out of the house a bit. Heh. But it should make for a nice evening.

The mom and I are probbaly going to do some shopping tomorrow or go to a movie, and then Dad and I are going to a Grizzlies game tomorrow evening. Because for once, these boys are winning! We have a fabulous pitcher now, and we're hitting! It's a miracle, man. Saturday the parents and I are going to head up to Monterey for the day and go to the beach and such. It'll be nice to get out of Fresno for a few hours. I go back to work on Tuesday. Woo!

The Giants are playing fabulous right now. It's awesome. Barry's hitting home runs, and the starting rotation isn't totally sucking, and the bullpen isn't quite as shaky. My beloved Jack Taschner is pitching well again. Hee. He's so adorable. Yahoo! had a great photo of him pitching the other day, and I so need to icon it. I think Dad and I are going to go to SF for a game in June sometime. I need a new jersey. I don't think I can wear my Jason Schmidt one anymore (the traitor!). I think I want a Matt Morris one. Mainly because he's now #22, which was Mike's number and that got me all weepy. Heh. So I need to pick a new jersey when we go.

Tuesday morning, I went to Target at like 8:30 am and picke dup my NCIS S3 dvds. I've finished watching all six discs and I'm so in love. The Pauley/Michael commentaries cracked me up, and the major eps that I missed were awesome. I saw a lot of ATL clothing on some of those eps. Hee. It made me smile. The wardrobe people get major kudos for that. But S3 was great, and I have several favorite eps from it now. Plus, some of the stuff made my Reasons Why 'verse fics more canonical. It's great. Thank you, Agent DiNozzo.

Speaking of writing, I've done very little. I finished my grief fic for [livejournal.com profile] pdficchallenge and posted that on Monday, and it got posted/recced on [livejournal.com profile] csi_gazette that evening. It was so flattering to see it recced on there! I really want to get back to writing challenge fics and get into my H/M series, NCIS series, and the NCIS/Supernatural crossover. I've got to settle in and do that soon. I also need to get to rewrtiing and typing up the story I found in a box last week. I think I can really make it work, but we shall see.

Off to try and be productive before dinner later tonight. And at some point, I'll go by the spot my store is being built and I'll take a photo to show you all the progress. It's getting really exciting to see it come together. The promotion happens in June and I'm nervous still, but more and more excited too.

Go Giants! Hee.

So yesterday was awesome. Dad and I spent the day in San Francisco at the Giants/Phillies game. While my boys played not so great, we had a heck of a good time. We saw three home runs, including Alou's 2-run blast in the 1st inning, and Ryan Howard's 460 footer not like...80 feet from where we were sitting. So awesome.

The downside? I got sunburned. I used freakin' sunscreen, and the side of my face is still bright red and so are the tops of my arms. Sigh. I hate being sunburned, because it just plain hurts. My cheek and ear and blazing right now, and that vexes me. Heh.

But we had such a good time, and I am beyond glad to not be at work for the entire week. Happy, I am. *g*

Mom and I also got tickets to see Train at the Fresno Fair in October. Woo!!

Concert Lineup (for my reference):
-July 21st- Rascal Flatts/Gary Allan/The Wreckers
-July 22nd- Michael Buble
-September 29th- John Mayer/Sheryl Crow
-October 6th- Train/Anna Nalick

And somewhere in there, Dad and I might go see Josh Turner. Heh. It's an awesome concert kind of year for me. Now, if they will just get Keith Urban back here, I will be happy.

I must write this week. Yes. Must write.

I go slather lotion on the sunburn now. Meep.
