Oy, I love that man to itty bitty pieces. If I were more coherent, I'd post a longer entry. But for now, I'll just say that Keith is beyond amazing, Sugarland rocked, and I ended up sitting third row center with my dad.

Plus, I didn't cry at this show. Heh. There's a major feat, let me tell you.

Meep. Lovelovelove my Keith. What an amazing show he puts on.

I'm so looking forward to tonight's MLB All-Star Game. My Timmeh is the NL starting pitcher (rightfully so!) and will probably pitch two innings. I'm so proud of that boy! And proud of Matt Cain too, even though he won't be able to pitch tonight after being hit by a line drive last week. But Timmy will do a great job tonight and I can't wait to see his introduction! Eeee!

And baseball---oh, my beloved baseball. Last Thursday, the Dad and I went to SF for the Giants/Padres game. Watched TImmy take a no-hitter to the 7th inning, saw Molina, Ishikawa, and Uribe hit home runs, and had an amazing time. THEN! The next night, Friday--Jonathan Sanchez pitched the first no-hitter in the Major Leagues all season. God, I was so beyond proud. (even though Dad and I missed seeing it in person by one day!) After the terrible season he's had so far, he gets tossed back into the rotation after being demoted to the bullpen and after Randy Johnson gets hurt--and he throws a no-hitter. It's beyond awesome, and he deserves the credit so very much. And my beloved Aaron Rowand freakin' saved the game with his AMAZING catch in the 9th inning. I have unholy love for that man, let me tell you. And all the hugs and the tears from Jonathan's father, who was watching his son for the first time as a starter in the majors. What a story. Sob. I've cried a lot watching the footage and looking at the photos from Friday night. Meep.

And the week has just gotten better! I got an email yesterday form the head fan club guy (Luke), with the Keith Urban fan club, and I was picked to work the fan club booth at the concert on Friday night. Yay! I'm one of the Customs Agents, and get to stamp my fellow Monkeys' passports/scrapbook pages before the show starts. Color me psyched. I never thought I'd get picked, so I was really surprised to get the email yesterday afternoon. I'm so looking forward to seeing Keith again and seeing Sugarland. Plus, I'm taking my dad, the best date ever. Heh.

Am out at the parents' house dog sitting while the mom and dad are on a two day vacation. I'll be doing the same next week when they go to who knows where. Haha. Speaking of said dogs, Dawson is at my feet attempting to get me to play. He just might sucker me in.

Writing still good. May have agreed to co-write and edit a book with a friend. We'll see what comes of that! I couldn't believe I was even asked, but I agreed readily. Looking forward to it, if it comes to fruition!

Off to attempt being productive before the game starts at 5. Yippee!

My Giants completed a three-game sweep of the Braves last night--something that pleased me immensely. Timmy was fantastic on Tuesday night, with 8 more K's. He's sitting at 499 for his career--which is only two years old. Bwah. Beat that. I'm such a Timmy fangirl, it's not even funny. PLUS, Randy Johnson got win #299 last night. He's so going to get #300 next week vs. the Nationals. But the boys are playing decently right now, and I lovelovelove that Aaron Rowand is kicking butt in the leadoff spot. He's hitting great, and he freakin' stole home last night! So proud. And my Franny, and Nate. Love them. Hee. We're sitting at .500 again, thank goodness.

I've been hooked on the Star Trek audiobook the last few days. Zachary Quinto does an amazing job and I love his different voices and inflections. But yeah, awesome audiobook. Also hooked on the Kris Allen/Keith Urban duet of "Kiss A Girl" from the AI finale. Heck, I'm also hooked on Kris' version of "Heartless" and Adam's "Mad World". They both (as people) amuse me highly.

Also addicted to David Nail and his new song "Red Light". I've been a fan of it for months anyway, but now it's really starting to hit radio airwaves and it rocks. His album comes out in July and I'm so excited. Anyone who calls Pat Monahan from Train one of the best male voices in music gets my support. No doubt.

The George Strait Artist of the Decade show was fantabulous last night. Keith singing the Marty Robbins medley was awesome. Plus, he actually knows how to freakin' dress for a tribute show. Suit AND tie. Sigh. Happy. Dierks Bentley was so cute and funny, and gah. I loved the entire thing and made the parents tape it for me at home. Hee.

The writing is really going well this month (as I keep saying, I'm sure...oy). I've kind of focused my attention on fun little pieces that are pretty mindless and that I don't keep anyway. But they're fun to putter with. Next month I vow to go back to working on the novel. Seriously diving back into it now that I've kind of reshuffled the characters. Which I still can't believe I did. I hope I don't end up regretting it.

Work is good. Am tired, but things are just so--good. It makes me happy to work again. Business is good and--yeah, can't complain.

Off to attempt being productive today. No, really.

Went out early this morning to pick up my beloved Keith Urban's new album "Defying Gravity". It's yet another phenomenal CD, and I love every darn song. I am beyond proud to be a fan. And speaking of Keith, the dad and I are going to see Keith on July 17th, with Sugarland as the opening act. I scored floor seats yet again, even closer to the stage than the last time! Color me excited!!

Sam the Saturn getting broken into two weeks ago issue was taken care of quickly, thank goodness. They did steal my Taylor Swift and Lady Antebellum CD's, but I have replaced those. They also stole my work tote bag and work binder, so I hope they are sorely disappointed by the lack of loot in there. Haha. Unfortunately, that also meant I had to redo said binder, but I had a lot of it memorized so it didn't take as long. Summer (the boss) gave me a hard time for redoing it. Hee. It made her laugh. What can I say--I'm a bit of a geek.

Have been blogging the Giants on MLB.com. My blog is here: Well Played!" if anyone wants to read. I enjoy writing the blogs, and my parents are amused by my writing style, for some odd reason. Heh.

Speaking of writing, the [livejournal.com profile] getyourwordsout challenge is still going fantastic. I hit my word count goal for the third month in a row, and I've written over 50,000 words this year so far! I'm just so happy writing again. The novel is moving along and I've also written a couple of more fics and scenes for the Reasons Why 'verse. And some of the new KU music is triggering the Tony/Hannah muse. Yay!

Have also been attempting to knit, along with continuing my felt projects. The mom got me a Knifty Knitter (hahaha) and I am attempting to make a scarf on the thing. So far, so good.

Got to visit with [livejournal.com profile] brightillusions on Sunday evening, which was nice. I hadn't seen her in a while and we got to talk and such. Had a good time. I've missed her.

Am off to be productive, which means off to color my hair (which I had cut this morning after my Target run) and listen to "Defying Gravity" again.

Have a good day!

Going out of state starting tomorrow and through Sunday. Rachael and I are driving up to Oregon to house hunt for her and her family, and possibly job hunt for me. So yeah--it's going to be a long three days. A lot of driving. Haha. But it should be a good time, and at least it is good company! There will be a lot of snark going on the car tomorrow. Heh.

If anyone needs to reach me, the easiest way will be to text my cell. Feel free to do so if you want!

Also--the CMA's last night? Some good, some bad. My two big highlights? Or wait--three: 1) Lady A---they are so fantastic and I am a proud fan. Charles, Hillary and Dave sounded great and absolutely without a doubt deserved their award! 2) Keith Urban performing "Sweet Thing" for the first time--he was incredible as always and got the standing ovation. He and Nicole looked so wonderful and it is so good to see them both smile. And 3) Brad Paisley going over to start hugging Keith before his wife Kim! Ahahaha...that made me (and Keith and Nicole) laugh so hard! Overall the awards were a little disappointing for me, but hey, there's always next year.

The mom and I are going shopping today and going to pick up a new cable box for her, and it should be a nice day.

Again, if anyone needs to reach me, a text will probably be the best way!

Have a good weekend!

(and this is a sort of GIP. My Timmy smiles! Yay!)
