Oh TV finales, you slay me. I've cried way too much the past two nights, what with Bones, House, One Tree Hill, CSI: Miami, and NCIS. Geez. All I have to get through now, really, is CSI: New York tomorrow night.

Speaking of tomorrow, I get to get up very early and leave with Rach at 7 am for a networking/hiring workshop in San Jose. It should be interesting. And for once, Sam the Saturn doesn't have to make the drive. Haha. We;re taking Rach's new Honda Odyssey. Woohoo.

I swear I broke my pinkie finger yesterday whacking it on the counter at work. It hurts to bend the tip of it, and typing is not going so well. Dang it. I bought tape to wrap it for tomorrow, so hopefully that'll do something. We shall see.

I'm in a random mood, and it's probably because [livejournal.com profile] brightillusions and I were frantically texting during NCIS, and because I really need to go to bed, but I'm not tired in the least.

Oh. I know what I wanted to gush about for a moment--Sunday night's ACM awards. Um, how much do I LOVE the Academy for the Lady Antebellum win!? Charles, Dave, and Hillary were so adorable and I may or may not have gotten teary eyed when Little Big Town called out their name for Top New Group. And Keith and Nicole looking absolutely gorgeous! I loved his three-piece suit. And his performance of "Tu Compania" was fantastic, and I adored that he asked Sarah Buxton to perform with him. The Sugarland performance of "All I Wanna Do" was great, and I loved Jennifer and Kristian with the whole "Say thank you to your wife." "Thanks, wife!" moment. My mom and I thought it was adorable. Bummed Keith got beat by Brad Paisley (because really!?!) too. Hmph.

Bed now. For real. Alarm is set for 5 am. Ugh. Good night.

gah.

This week has been very nice so far. I've been on vacation since Sunday, and I've hoently done very little. I've cleaned up the apartment, and I've gone shopping a bit, but nothing major. I saw the parents on Sunday for Eric's confirmation (wherein I was in a church for 4 hours...meep) and on Tuesday when I went out to the house to do major laundry.

Tonight myself, Rach, Lallen, Lauren, Diana, and probably Kimberly are going to Red Robin for dinner. Should be a lot of fun. We're trying to get Rach out of the house a bit. Heh. But it should make for a nice evening.

The mom and I are probbaly going to do some shopping tomorrow or go to a movie, and then Dad and I are going to a Grizzlies game tomorrow evening. Because for once, these boys are winning! We have a fabulous pitcher now, and we're hitting! It's a miracle, man. Saturday the parents and I are going to head up to Monterey for the day and go to the beach and such. It'll be nice to get out of Fresno for a few hours. I go back to work on Tuesday. Woo!

The Giants are playing fabulous right now. It's awesome. Barry's hitting home runs, and the starting rotation isn't totally sucking, and the bullpen isn't quite as shaky. My beloved Jack Taschner is pitching well again. Hee. He's so adorable. Yahoo! had a great photo of him pitching the other day, and I so need to icon it. I think Dad and I are going to go to SF for a game in June sometime. I need a new jersey. I don't think I can wear my Jason Schmidt one anymore (the traitor!). I think I want a Matt Morris one. Mainly because he's now #22, which was Mike's number and that got me all weepy. Heh. So I need to pick a new jersey when we go.

Tuesday morning, I went to Target at like 8:30 am and picke dup my NCIS S3 dvds. I've finished watching all six discs and I'm so in love. The Pauley/Michael commentaries cracked me up, and the major eps that I missed were awesome. I saw a lot of ATL clothing on some of those eps. Hee. It made me smile. The wardrobe people get major kudos for that. But S3 was great, and I have several favorite eps from it now. Plus, some of the stuff made my Reasons Why 'verse fics more canonical. It's great. Thank you, Agent DiNozzo.

Speaking of writing, I've done very little. I finished my grief fic for [livejournal.com profile] pdficchallenge and posted that on Monday, and it got posted/recced on [livejournal.com profile] csi_gazette that evening. It was so flattering to see it recced on there! I really want to get back to writing challenge fics and get into my H/M series, NCIS series, and the NCIS/Supernatural crossover. I've got to settle in and do that soon. I also need to get to rewrtiing and typing up the story I found in a box last week. I think I can really make it work, but we shall see.

Off to try and be productive before dinner later tonight. And at some point, I'll go by the spot my store is being built and I'll take a photo to show you all the progress. It's getting really exciting to see it come together. The promotion happens in June and I'm nervous still, but more and more excited too.

Go Giants! Hee.

Snerk. I don't think I can ever get enough of listening to the commentary on "Twilight" with Michael and Pauley. It makes me laugh every single time. I freakin' love them. "Listen, I rocked the plague!" Bwhaha. Funny stuff. I love commentary tracks on DVDs, they're my favorite things besides gag reels. I love the reels on Dark Angel, House, The West Wing, and my favorite, the Supernatural gag reel. Best thing ever!

Let me reiterate that I so hate love [livejournal.com profile] brightillusions. She is my enabler. Grr. The DiNozzo fic is eating my brain, it really truly is. It's what I think about constantly now. I seriously need people to plot with, because I have no clue where it is going and how it is going to get there. All I know is that I've created an OFC (*headdesk*) for this fic and that so scares me. Sheesh. She is perfect, though, for Tony. It's amusing my brain, that. Huh. Now, if I could just figure this stuff all out and how it's going to take him to present times. Weh?!]

Work is work this week. DM visit on Tuesday went well, so things are good there. Finally. Sigh. We've had a busy week so far, I have to say. Today was a bit hectic and I have to stay an extra hour and a half to get things stable again. Overtime for me. Whee. Didn't get to get my shopping done, though, so tomorrow it is. Still have to get Dad's last gift, something for my uncle, my mom's best friend, and my grandmother. Still need to finish the package I'm making for [livejournal.com profile] bookofdays, but the gift I wanted isn't going to get here in time, so I need to make do until then, so I can send it all together! Heh.

The dad and I went to lunch/dinner this afternoon. We met after I got off work and went to this awesome cafe/sandwich place right down the street from my apartment. I love this place, and my dad had never been there, so I treated and he enjoyed it.

It's freakin' cold here, and it's raining. My joints are killing me. Blasted shoulder and knees. I'm 25 with the body of an 80 year old. Geez. Not cool, man.

Bed now, I suppose. Have to be up at 3:45 am or so for work. Woo. My nails, however, are sparkly red and holiday-ish. Yippee.

My notebook calls to me. I hate the Fic of Doom. Sob. It's eating what's left of my brain cells. Make it stop?

Good night.

Snort. NCIS effectively killed me deader than dead tonight. Both from the cute and the funny. Sigh. I have way too much DiNozzo love, man. Way too much. Enough to text Jane with "OMG!" several times. Hahaha. I am a nerd.

TV shows have done me in the past couple of days. NCIS tonight, and CSI: Miami last night, where my handsome red-haired boyfriend looked majorly hot AND kicked butt. I have unholy Horatio Caine love, people. Unholy David Caruso love too, for that matter.

I have the next two days off, thank goodness. My brain has been a bit jumbled from work lately, and my upset self went to work grumpy yesterday (Monday) and I finally talked to Rach a bit. I was tired and frustrated, and I got a bit of reassurance that I think we all needed, especially when it comes to what's happening next fall. I've sort of made myself sick over things lately and I need to just forget about it all for awhile and focus on good things. I tend to dwell over silly stuff until it gets serious and then I freak out. Luckily, I have my mom, my dad, and my best friend to talk me through things.

I've been alternating between Continuum and Love, Pain, and the whole crazy thing in the CD player again. I'm crazily addicted to these albums. Gah.

Bed now. Going to be lazy the next couple of days, I think. Going to go out to the mom's tomorrow and play with the dogs, and print out the awesome Josh Groban tickets that [livejournal.com profile] brightillusions and I scored for April 4th, 2007. Hee.

Good night.

Well, specifically [livejournal.com profile] wiccagirl24 and [livejournal.com profile] brightillusions...some fic help, por favor?!

I know one of the S1 or S2 eps tells us that Tony is an only child (right?! Or is that fanon, not canon?), but do we know his parents' names/professions? And he was a cop in Baltimore, right?! But did he grow up there? Oy. For the love of anything, do you guys know ep titles in the first two seasons that can help me with any little bit of DiNozzo background? Heck, websites, even?! I'm desperate for help.

Gah. I feel very inadequate right now. Heh. If this were a CSI fic, I'd be just fine.

Damn new fandoms. *glares at Jane* ;)

This fic ias going to rule my brain, I can sense it now.
