Um. Guh. So last night
brightillusions and I went to see The Wreckers, Gary Allan, and Rascal Flatts at the Save Mart Center. Absolutely amazing. Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp were fantastic, even though they only did like--four songs, which sucked. But they ere great, and then freakin' Gary Allan blew us away. He was sick as a dog, and his voice was incredibly raspy when he spoke, but the singing as awesome. He sang a song he hasn't even recorded yet, and it rocked. He was so gorgeous. "Man Of Me" was dead on, and he did Songs About Rain, which I adore. Right before he did "Best I Ever Had", he talked about losing his wife a year and a half ago, and did the song just perfect. He was crying a bit during the song, and that just tore me up. He's so awesome.
And then, the boys appeared. And boy, can the Rascal Flatts boys put on a show. Geez. Gary, Jay, and Joe Don rocked my ever loving socks. They did all the good songs, and Jay did "Hotel California" and "Jessie's Girl", and Joe Don did "Cool Thing" and changed Ohio State to Fresno State, and I fell in love. Heh. The encore was "What Hurts The Most" and "Life Is A Highway", and just before that, they did "Skin (Sara Beth)" and "I'm Movin' On" back to back, and yes, I got a little weepy. The Fresno crowd was awesome, and held up their cell phones during Skin, and the guys got a little teary, I think. They were literally about 20 feet from us at one time, and my new digital camera got some decent, if not a bit blurry photos of the boys.
It was an awesome night, and now, although I am tired, I am excited for Michael Buble tonight. Hee.
Back to bed now. Maybe.
