Wow...long time no post. Meep. Nothing really substantial to say, to be honest. I've been busy with work and things. Am on the hunt for my first house, and I've been spending time with the family. Work is definitely keeping me busy in many good ways, but things get stressful at the same time.

Been busy on the writing front too...there's been some definite plot progress on the novel, and I am feeling somewhat accomplished. Still on track to make my goal this year for [livejournal.com profile] getyourwordsout. Yay! I've gotten a couple of new writing books and have really gotten a good start on a little binder of scene ideas and such. I even made a fanmix of songs for my main pairing for inspiration and it seems to be helping. I will have something substantial by the end of the year. I actually posted a small scene in a comment over at GYWO a couple of days ago..something I never thought I'd do.

The dad and I are going to pore over the Giants home schedule to pick out a few more games to attend besides the Red Sox in June. YAY baseball...I have missed it so. The dad and I are also planning to go to Tim McGraw/Lady Antebellum in May...woohoo! I so look forward to seeing three of my favorite, favorite singers. And technically, speaking of Charles Kelley...I am beyond excited for Josh Kelley's upcoming country album. It is going to be fantastic as always, but Josh is an incredibly underrated artist. He's a wonderful songwriter and singer, and I really hope he finally gets the credit he deserves.

And of course, I really couldn't resist a music meme....

You can learn a lot about someone from the music they listen to. Here's the game: hit shuffle on your music player, and write down the first 25 songs that come up. No cheating or skipping songs.
25 random songs...shuffle is fuuuuuunnnn! )

So sometimes, things make me very proud to be from where I am from. At last night's Commander In Chief Ball, our new First Lady Michelle Obama danced with Marine Sgt. Elidio Guillen, who is from my hometown of Madera, California. He is also a fellow Madera High School alum. Seeing the footage and the photographs make me very proud that someone from home has not only honored our country by serving in the military that helps keep us safe, but he has represented my hometown proudly with our new President and First Lady.

So fantastic. I saw on the news here and in articles that he practiced for several days in order to be ready to dance with Mrs. Obama, and I thought that was so cool.

On other little things---I so love work. I am beyond happy to work with these people!

I got tagged by [livejournal.com profile] bookofdays for a photo meme, and I am working on finding photos for said meme, which may end up getting posted on Friday or Saturday morning.

Going to bed now. Have to be at work at 8 am. Will probably go out to the house tomorrow night and Friday, but we shall see. Note to self: Lady A on Leno tomorrow night! Woohoo!

Good night!

Give me up to three numbers between 1-1593 and I'll upload the songs for you. If you get something you already have, feel free to pick again!

I've gotten some cool stuff doing this meme with other friends, so I thought I'd offer my odd music library up as well.

Going to bed in just a couple of minutes, but I saw this and couldn't resist it. Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] goddess_loki

List ten songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they’re not any good, but they must be songs you’re really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your blog along with your ten songs. Then tag ten other people to see what they’re listening to.

1. "Sweet Thing"- Keith Urban
2. "White Horse"- Taylor Swift
3. "Let The Wind Chase You"- Trisha Yearwood f/Keith Urban
4. "Lost"- Michael Buble
5. "Come On Get Higher"- Matt Nathanson (or Sugarland, depending on my mood)
6. "Emily"- Lady Antebellum
7. "Not Falling Apart"- Maroon 5
8. "Love"- Sugarland
9. "Stop This Train"- John Mayer
10. "One You Need"- Ernie Halter

I tag anyone else who wants to do this. Heh.

Good night.

Got some good news this morning. Keep your fingers crossed for me on Thursday morning! I have an interview with somewhere I would LOVE to work. I only applied for this position on Friday night, so to be called only a couple of days later rocks! Woohoo! Please toss a few good vibes my way if possible!

Otherwise, I'm sort of bored at the moment, so a meme:

50 ODD Things about you! If you opened this, FILL IT OUT! Learn 50 things about your friends, and let them learn 50 things about you!
