It's been a very nice Christmas week. Work out the wazoo. It's been very busy, which is good for us retail grunts. Heh. The boss (Summer) gave us (her managers) a cute card filled with gift cards to restaurants in the Village, which rocks.

Spent Christmas with the parents, of course. Went to the house after work on Christmas Eve, had sandwiches and snack stuff, and then we opened presents. My family, as always, was way too good to me. They got me lots (and I mean lots) of makeup (which, anyone who knows me knows I have an addiction to lip gloss), plus a pair of gorgeous handmade glass earrings, two new necklaces (an S pendant and a silver cat pendant), a new bluetooth headset for my cell, an Amazon gift certificate, a gift card to Ulta, stuff from Bath and Body Works, and Britney's "Curious" perfume (it's one of my favorites).

But the two big ones were amazing. Mom got me and my dad tickets to the June 25th, 2010 Giants/Red Sox game at AT&T Park. Color me so beyond excited, and already hoping the Timmy is pitching that night. Hee. Then, the parents got me a brand new digital camera. My old one was pretty lousy, and they knew I wanted a good one for when I go to concerts and things. So they got me a fantastic new one that I can't wait to start using, Maybe I'll actually put new photos up on Facebook. Haha.

All in all, a fantastic Christmas. We went to see "Sherlock Holmes" yesterday and had a good time...a very entertaining movie!

Put in my writing pledge for 2010 with [livejournal.com profile] getyourwordsout. I am going to write 100K words this coming year, but on a single project. I'm going to settle in and focus on the nvoel this year for sure. I'm seriously going to flesh things out and make it come together, along with really developing these characters that I love so much.

Planning a trip to Oregon to vist Rach, Jason, and the kids in February. I miss my BFF terribly.

Addicted to Lady A's new song "American Honey", along with all the songs from Glee. Lovelovelove!

Oy. Bed soon. Hope everyone's holidays have been excellent!

Got home at two this morning. Heh. Last night was tons of fun. Went over to Rachael and Jason's and played with the kids, and a bunch of their friends came over and then Lallen, Marcus and Lauren came and everyone played card games and drank. Well, I didn't drink, but I was the peanut gallery for the game and cheered everyone on. We had a great time, and I then proceeded to get home very, very late. Heh. Happy St. Patrick's Day it was. It was nice to be around my friends (and family, for that matter, really) and laugh and have a good time. Plus, drinking friends are vastly amusing.

It's been an interesting week. First off, my grandmother is not doing well at all. As of right now, she probably won't make it through the rest of the week. She was bad a couple of weeks ago, then made an amazing recovery, and now it's back to worse. So we'll see. This is my dad's mom, and my Mexican side of the family, so it's kind of emotional and a big chaotic thing. Sigh.

On the good side of the week, on Friday, the mom and I scored 11th row tickets for John Mayer in June. Heh. Section 2, Row K. Meep. I'm going to throw things at the man and proclaim my undying love. Seriously. Hee.

Also on Friday, I met up with my dear [livejournal.com profile] brightillusions for dinner at California Pizza Kitchen, and we chatted for a couple of hours about all sorts of stuff. It was nice. I needed that. After I went to Barnes and Noble and found two new books and a great character naming sourcebook. It's fantastic.

Finally went and started a silly MySpace thing. I'm still trying to come up with a unique URL, but so far, nothing I like is working, so I'm sticking with the numeric name for awhile. I'm over here (http://www.myspace.com/163964561) if anyone wants to add.

I need to finish my "college" fic for the prompt at [livejournal.com profile] pdficchallenge. Meep. Must get it done by tonight. And pick for this week. Haha.

Off to be productive. Or go back to sleep, either way.

Ugh. 2 am.

Christmas 2007 is pretty much over, and it sure was a great one. Spent Christmas Eve at work until 2 pm. The girls at work are funny. Rach gave me a pair of jeans that I wanted, and a cute Care Bear pencil case filled with pens and little notebooks, and a Care Bear watch. Bwhaha. Larissa gave me a scarf and comfy slipper socks, and Erika gave me socks and a gift card to Gloria Jean's coffee. Elida gave me an adorable Daisy Duck plush, which made me giggle. I then came home at around 3:20 to kick back with the family. My uncle came over at about 4, and we were opening stuff and eating by like 5:30.

From the parents, I got silver earrings and a matching necklace, a great set of scrapbooking stuff, a gift set of Britney's Curious perfume, a $40 gift card to Trader Joe's, a gorgeous Citizen dress watch, and a cute black Guess! purse. My parents know me too well. My uncle gave me a lavender vanilla body lotion set, and a gift pack of raisins and pistachios. Heh. So Christmas Eve was really nice, and we all sat around watching the Chronicles of Narnia on Dad's new plasma TV.

Today was spent out at my grandmother's house, where I got to see my aunt and uncles, and my cousins. Got to see my 17 month old half-cousin Isaac, who is the cutest thing. He's so adorable. Dad and I then came home, sat for a bit, and went over to meet my mom at Maggi's house for Christmas dinner. My niece Charlotte was there, all dressed up and so cute. Maggi gave me a $25 gift card to Sephora, and Kate and Charlotte gave me the special edition box set of Office Space. Heh. It came with a red stapler, which cracked me up. I love that movie. Dinner was great, and we had a nice time.

I'm so dang exhausted, though. My body is rebelling against the getting up at 3:30 am every day for the past two weeks. Ugh. I really need sleep. Was planning to stay up and watch CSI: Miami tonight, but since they're just showing "Driven" again, I figure I'm just off to bed. I have it on DVD anyway. Hee.

Bed now, but randomly? My Texans beat the Colts yesterday. Snerk. Bwhahahaha. I freakin' love David Carr, man. That totally made my Christmas!

Hope everyone had a terrific Christmas! Good night!
