fun stuff!
Dec. 29th, 2008 11:39 pmSitting here listening to the fabulous Charles Kelley, thanks to my dear
keiran_c and chatting with Lallen (old co-worker and good friend) on Facebook. I miss her and all the rest of my girls very much, and it satisfies me greatly some of the things I am finding out. Haha.
Going tomorrow afternoon to do my paperwork at my new job. I am so looking forward to meeting the staff and getting to know the company and the product. Plus, I get to wear jeans every day! Heh.
Yeah--things have been very good this past week. I am greatly appreciative of the emails and comments from you all. It means more than you know. Thank you so very much!
I am relieved, excited, nervous, everything! I still have to get through the paperwork, but all should be good!
I still plan on taking the CBEST in a month or so (the California teaching exam) and seeing what happens. I have a book I'm going to start studying, and we shall see! I'm also in the middle of my Christmas present book--"Small Favor" by Jim Butcher--book 10 of The Dresden Files. I was so excited to unwrap that.
Christmas was a lot of fun with just me and my mom and dad. We all got electronic stuff. Dad got a Blue-Ray machine. Mom got a new speaker system for her Mac, and I got a new iHome for Timmy the Pod. Got an awesome, awesome makeup set from Sephora and lots of body stuff. Heh. Plus, a brand new red Fresno State sweatshirt, which is what I really did want!
The end of the year has been very good, thankfully.
Thanks again to everyone with the kind words. I love you all! =)
Good night!

Oy! Addicting!
Dec. 6th, 2008 11:22 amI finally caved into the pressure ;) and the boredom yesterday and set up a Facebook. And I'm afraid it's going to be very addicting for me, especially when I can throw sheep at people. Heh.
So yeah, if anyone wants to add me over there, please do. And if the link doesn't work and you need my full name to search, feel free to email me and I'll give you my last name.
It's been a decent week. The parents and I went to dinner last night, and I'll probably go out to the house for the rest of the weekend. Tonight is the UCLA/USC game and I so want to see the outcome of this. I don't really care who wins, but it's always entertaining.
Off to be productive. Or something. Hope you all have a good weekend!

Got to spend this evening with good company and good food. Me,
brightillusions, and our friends (and in my case former co-workers) Lallen, Beka, and Josie took Rachael out to dinner tonight at The Cheesecake Factory. Rach leaves for Oregon on Wednesday morning. It makes me sad, but I am so happy for her. I am going to miss one of my best friends terribly--but I know I will see her soon.
It was really nice to hang out with the girls tonight, and to see friends. I needed it more than I thought.
Tomorrow the parents and I are driving up to San Francisco for the day. Should be nice and cold. Heh. I do love the cold. We're going to go to Pier 39 and downtown and do a bit of shopping. Oooh...new Giants stiuff. Hahah. Timmeh!
My knee is still in pathetic shape, but it is slowly getting better. I am keeping it in a brace or wrapped with an Ace bandage. I am fairly sure I messed it up stumbling on the stairs at my apartment complex last week. Ugh. It is driving me nuts! I can't kneel or squat down at all, but again, it is better than it was a few days ago, so I suppose I shouldn't complain too much. Will probably ice it as we leave tomorrow, so it should be okay, and Advil usually helps. Heh.
As I finish this, Dawson (our Australian shepherd) just crammed himself into the very small dog bed we have for our Jack Russell terrier Holly. Hahaha. The big dog thinks he can fit himself in it, and he sure does--tucking his nose in and everything. It makes me smile.
Am hoping to have some sort of job news this week--we shall see. It's increasingly frustrating, and I am getting a tiny bit worried about money, but I will be okay for a couple of more months if necessary. The parents and I have already discussed me moving back home for awhile, but that is definitely a last resort. I m hoping it won't come to that, but I know I have that support system should I need it, and to be honest, it would cut down on expenses. Sigh. I just don't want to be a burden on my fantastic parents--and I know they would never and don't see it that way, but I do--as a pretty independent person who has lived on her own for 4 years now!
I digress, though. And I am off to bed. Hope you all are well.
Good night!

First things first, this is a partial GIP to show off my Timmy. I can't believe I haven't had an icon previously of my boy, but now I do. Hee. Timmy!
Second of all, I just got an awesome concert call from my friend and co-worker Jess. She's in Mountain View, CA seeing John Mayer and she called me during "Vultures"--which is one of my favorite songs. He sounded awesome! It made me smile tonight.
My vacation has been great. Dad and I spent two days at Disneyland and we had such a nice time. We spent the first day at California Adventure and rode an incredibly awesome roller coaster. Ran into an ATL client as well, which made my dad laugh. I was wearing my red Fresno State shirt and we had people stopping us in regards to our Bulldogs and the College World Series. Heh. The second day we got up very early and got to the main park right as the gates were opening. Dad and I got right on all the big stuff, and we had tons of fun. We rode all the good stuff and then went back to the hotel to nap for a couple of hours. We went back that afternoon and rode Pirates again, and did a few other rides, including the Jungle Cruise, which I hadn't been on in years. Good times. We shopped, and I got pins for all of my managers, and a new baseball Mickey antenna ball for Sam the Saturn. We didn't make it to the fireworks, as we were freakin' exhausted, but we got to see one of the awesome parades. Dad got some great pics--as soon as Mom cleans them up a bit and gets them on CD, I'll post some here and on MySpace. So yeah, an awesome, awesome trip. Yippee!
Back to work tomorrow. I've missed my team, but it's been so nice to be away from things for the week, let me tell you. I feel much better now that I've had this time off. I wish I could have been writing, but hey, the muse has been relatively useless lately.
Bed soon, methinks. Ugh. ;)

Ugh. ;)
Good times.
