First off, Merry Christmas to you all! I hope your Christmas 2010 has been terrific!

I'm sitting here with a happy Cody kitten in my lap, purring away. My furry boy and I have had a wonderful Christmas! He got kitty treats, new crinkle ball toys, and felt fishies to bat around.

My work Secret Santa rocked and got me yarn, a new journal and pen, candy, and other little things. My dear [livejournal.com profile] newdaydawning gave me a gift certificate to get yarn, and I am so psyched to pick my new yarn for knitting! ;)

My awesome parents killed me with their gifts this year. I got tons of makeup from Avon and Sephora (yay!) and body stuff from Avon and The Body Shop. My mom got me a gorgeous new silver necklace with an S on it, and a pair of handmade silver earrings with the word 'read' hand-stamped on one, and 'write' stamped on the other. I am so in love! She got me a new red watch as well. My dad got me the San Francisco Giants Champiionship DVD, a Giants iPhone case (squee!), and a gorgeous new bag for school. They both got me my favorite perfume (Britney's "Curious"), a purse, "The Blind Side" on DVD, and a new silver ring with a gold heart inlaid in it. But the BIG gift this year was a brand new Cruz e-reader. Yay for e-books!! I'm so excited! I got a nifty red case with it, and of course, now I need to name the thing. I most likely will stick with a Giants theme. (I already have Cody the kitten, Nate the iPhone, Timmy the iPod, Aaron the Acer laptop, and a stuffed Pablo the Panda). Maybe Aubrey the e-reader. Hahaha.

But--this was an amazing Christmas. I love my parents and my friends so very much. This Christmas Day was excellent as well. While Mom cooked dinner, the Dad and I went to the movies and saw "True Grit". Awesome movie. Not usually my kind of film, but I really liked this one! Came home and had a great prime rib dinner and watched fun baseball countdowns on the MLB Network. Heh.

Anyway. Hope you all have had a wonderful holiday so far! Love to you all and your families!

It's been a very nice Christmas week. Work out the wazoo. It's been very busy, which is good for us retail grunts. Heh. The boss (Summer) gave us (her managers) a cute card filled with gift cards to restaurants in the Village, which rocks.

Spent Christmas with the parents, of course. Went to the house after work on Christmas Eve, had sandwiches and snack stuff, and then we opened presents. My family, as always, was way too good to me. They got me lots (and I mean lots) of makeup (which, anyone who knows me knows I have an addiction to lip gloss), plus a pair of gorgeous handmade glass earrings, two new necklaces (an S pendant and a silver cat pendant), a new bluetooth headset for my cell, an Amazon gift certificate, a gift card to Ulta, stuff from Bath and Body Works, and Britney's "Curious" perfume (it's one of my favorites).

But the two big ones were amazing. Mom got me and my dad tickets to the June 25th, 2010 Giants/Red Sox game at AT&T Park. Color me so beyond excited, and already hoping the Timmy is pitching that night. Hee. Then, the parents got me a brand new digital camera. My old one was pretty lousy, and they knew I wanted a good one for when I go to concerts and things. So they got me a fantastic new one that I can't wait to start using, Maybe I'll actually put new photos up on Facebook. Haha.

All in all, a fantastic Christmas. We went to see "Sherlock Holmes" yesterday and had a good time...a very entertaining movie!

Put in my writing pledge for 2010 with [livejournal.com profile] getyourwordsout. I am going to write 100K words this coming year, but on a single project. I'm going to settle in and focus on the nvoel this year for sure. I'm seriously going to flesh things out and make it come together, along with really developing these characters that I love so much.

Planning a trip to Oregon to vist Rach, Jason, and the kids in February. I miss my BFF terribly.

Addicted to Lady A's new song "American Honey", along with all the songs from Glee. Lovelovelove!

Oy. Bed soon. Hope everyone's holidays have been excellent!

Um. Eep. I apparently haven't updated in six weeks. Color me a slacker. I have no real excuse except for work has been crazy and I've just been distracted by other things lately.

Yeah. Work is good. I love that place, I really do. Business is good, and we're really gearing up for holiday. I've been with EB for almost 10 months now and it feels like home. The 'place I used to work' didn't feel like home for a good year. Now? I'm so--happy. Even when I have to go in and work on my day off, I know I can complain to my boss a bit and get a chuckle out of her, and then I can get over it and get my butt on the sales floor and run the business! Love it and my work peoples.

New music rules my life. I've really been stuck on Miranda Lambert's "Revolution" and Michael Buble's "Crazy Love" the past couple of weeks, and I am beyond excited for John Mayer's "Battle Studies" next month. Finally a new Mayer album! YAY! Also psyched for the Glee soundtrack. January 26th, 2010 is Lady A's sophomore record, "Need You Now". Woohoo! Now if I could just get a new Josh Kelley album and Josh Groban ("Who is Josh Groban!?! Kill yourself!") album, all would be good.

TV rocks this season. Glee rules my life at the moment. I am nothing if not a Gleek. The Big Bang Theory owns me, as I adore Sheldon. Jim Parsons is the most adorable thing. NCIS and CSI: NY are awesome again this season, and my CSI: Miami is so back to the show I adore. Loving this season to pieces (how can I not love my red-haired boyfriend!?). Also loving Grey's Anatomy again this season. And as wrong as it may be, I just cannot get into NCIS: LA, regardless of how hot LL Cool J is. Maybe I'll watch it after the season ends and see. It's just not my thing at the moment, I suppose. It's nothing without my Tony. Heh.

Writing is still going strong for [livejournal.com profile] getyourwordsout. I'm up about 10,000 words on the year, so this is of the good. I have dug back in to the novel a bit more lately, as the muse may possibly be creeping back there. If I could keep the muse on that subject, I would be a happy camper!

The parents got me a Wii for my birthday a week or so ago, and I've been having way too much fun with that thing. Addicted to the bowling, baseball, and tennis. Bought MLB 2K9 for it the other day, since my Timmy is the cover boy. have been fussing with the Wii Fit thing the last few days too. I love the hula hoop!

Yeah. Rambling now. Off to write...or something. =)

Had an awesome Saturday afternoon in San Francisco with Dad. We had perfect seats at AT&T Park in the Arcade section, just over in right center field. Had a perfect view of my #33, Aaron Rowand, who made a terrific throw from center to keep the baserunner at first. Bwahaha. He's lucky he hadn't run, or he'd have been out by miles.

Timmy was amazing--just amazing. 8 innings, 13 strikeouts, no walks. He was absolutely on fire all day, and I was so proud of him. What an incredible pitching job on his part. It's unfortunate that his bullpen couldn't keep it together (I'm looking at YOU, Affeldt and Wilson) and the offense couldn't win it for him.

Granted, I have to give credit to the DBacks' starting pitcher (Davis, I think it was?). He was excellent as well, and impressed me immensely. A great pitcher for Arizona, that's for sure. I hope he does well the rest of the season too.

But yeah, it was so great to see Timmy pitch again and really get his groove back. He makes me so proud, seriously. Now, if only he'd cut the hair! sob.

Got a bit sunburned, even wearing SPF 50. Gah. Side of my face is a bit pink, and on my arms. You can tell where my watch goes, and where my yellow LiveStrong wristband goes. lol. BUT! I did not burn my ears this time, so there is some success. Speaking of sun, we're in the middle of a heat wave type thing here in California, and it sucks. Summer is going to suck this year. I weep, man.

Oh! Randy Johnson freakin' rocked today. Took a no-hitter to the 7th inning, man. What a terrific performance! I'm so pleased he's in orange and black and that he'll get win #300 with us. Hee. And on another game note from today--Barry Zito needs to stand in the dugout ALL the dang time on his off days wearing sexy shades and with no hat on. Um. Meep? Guh. Model hot.

I love spending time with the Dad. We had a good day yesterday, and Sam the Saturn drove beautifully as always. Spent all day today at home with the Mom. She got me more yarn for my knitting projects. I am working on a blanket for her right now in two different shades of blue. I finished my hot pink scarf last week. I love this knitting thing!

On the writing front, I am surprisingly still on track for my word count goal for [livejournal.com profile] getyourwordsout. Have admittingly not been working on the novel or Reasons Why in the last week or so, but puttering on baseball fanfic. Good lord, that is so sad. They're just little snippets that no one will ever see but me, but it's been kind of fun.

Had a three day weekend from work, and go back tomorrow morning. The boss is leaving on Tuesday for two weeks in Singapore to meet up with her military husband, so I'm in charge. Whee! May end up slacking off on the writing, but I am so going to try not to.

Oy. I am vowing to go to bed right after Brothers and Sisters ends at 11, but I am not holding out much hope. =)

Oh holy crap. I am completely in love with John Barrowman's cover of "You'll Think Of Me". Um. Meep? Yeah, I've listened to it over 20 times now (after getting it from my dear [livejournal.com profile] keiran_c) and I am beyond in love. With the minor gripe that he says caP instead of caT! Hahaha. But I'll accept that--because gah---amazing voice. Loooooove.

The dad and I went to Gilroy today and shopped. Made out like a bandit at the BBW outlet, and the dad got me a maroon and gold LiveStrong sweatshirt (yay Lance Armstrong!). It was a nice day spent with him and I had a very happy day.

John Mayer's Twitter updated with him talking about his tux for the Oscars. Ohpleaseohpleaseohplease let him not be joking. I want that man in a tux NOW! Eep! Lord knows it'll be Armani and I will be dead on the floor. Boom. Gone. Now, if we could just get Keith Urban in a tuxedo, my life will be complete. Seriously.

Happy day of shopping and new music for Timmy the iPod. Whee!

I go to bed now. I was scowling at my computer screen most of the evening, but Angela told me to knock that off. lol. So I did. Will go back to scowling at my writing later.

Good night!

Good night!

"So...take your records, take your freedom, take your memories, I don't need them..."

Gah!

I've been MIA for awhile, apparently. Heh. It's been a crazy time the last couple of weeks. Work is going fantastic--I love it to pieces. Our DD came yesterday and it was a great visit. Both he and my manager make me feel very valued and part of the team. I felt very good when I left work, and that in itself rocks. So yeah, work is good. We just finished floorset three days ago and it looks awesome. I mapped the sucker out and executed it with my team and it went very well. It'll be even better next time!

The family is good. Valentine's Day was nice--the day before, the mom got me pretty orange roses for my apartment, and then I headed out to the house for dinner. We had steaks and such and had a nice evening, as I had to work actual Valentine's Day. Mom got me a gift cards to Borders and JoAnn's, and Dad got me Taylor Swift's "Fearless"--which I am addicted to right now! And then a few days ago, they came by the store and gave me a gift I never expected. My mom got me a gorgeous pale pink Dooney and Bourke bucket purse. Eep. It's fantastic, and sits with my little Coach purse. Heh. But eee! Exciting. I am now trying to find a pink Dooney wallet to go with the purse. I got a pink wallet at Target the other day, and that will suffice.

Writing is still going well. I admit to slacking off a bit this month, but I am still on track to make my goal--woohoo! My allergies have been kicking my butt this time around, and I spent several days all icky and unmotivated to write. But then I keep looking at my spreadsheet for [livejournal.com profile] getyourwordsout and that motivates me to keep going. The novel is over 40 pages long now, and seems to be going well. I got a little repetitive a couple of days ago, but I think once I get to the revision stage (a LONG way away!), that'll be taken care of. I've made a lot of progress on Spotlight, and Reasons Why has come a long way as well. I love writing Tony and Hannah for RW, and I am loving writing Ava, Lily, and Ryan for ITS.

Have the weekend off, and have no idea what I am going to do with myself. The mom is sick, but I have a feeling Dad and I might do something later. I'll probably go watch the Oscars with them tomorrow, but we shall see.

Watched Conan's last show tonight, and cried. And laughed at my beloved John Mayer--who had better be dressed up hard core for the Oscars. Hmph.

Bed now. Going to be productive somehow today!

Good night (morning!?)

Sitting here listening to the fabulous Charles Kelley, thanks to my dear [livejournal.com profile] keiran_c and chatting with Lallen (old co-worker and good friend) on Facebook. I miss her and all the rest of my girls very much, and it satisfies me greatly some of the things I am finding out. Haha.

Going tomorrow afternoon to do my paperwork at my new job. I am so looking forward to meeting the staff and getting to know the company and the product. Plus, I get to wear jeans every day! Heh.

Yeah--things have been very good this past week. I am greatly appreciative of the emails and comments from you all. It means more than you know. Thank you so very much!

I am relieved, excited, nervous, everything! I still have to get through the paperwork, but all should be good!

I still plan on taking the CBEST in a month or so (the California teaching exam) and seeing what happens. I have a book I'm going to start studying, and we shall see! I'm also in the middle of my Christmas present book--"Small Favor" by Jim Butcher--book 10 of The Dresden Files. I was so excited to unwrap that.

Christmas was a lot of fun with just me and my mom and dad. We all got electronic stuff. Dad got a Blue-Ray machine. Mom got a new speaker system for her Mac, and I got a new iHome for Timmy the Pod. Got an awesome, awesome makeup set from Sephora and lots of body stuff. Heh. Plus, a brand new red Fresno State sweatshirt, which is what I really did want!

The end of the year has been very good, thankfully.

Thanks again to everyone with the kind words. I love you all! =)

Good night!
