Sitting in my living room with Aaron the Acer and I finally found a wireless connection! Woohoo! Am continuing on my SportsNight Renaissance and am watching "The Quality of Mercy at 29K". One of my favorite, favorite eps, and now that I work for a company that sponsors several of the world's best climbers, it means a lot more. I am fairly sure this ep is based off of Ed Viesturs and Peter and Jim Whittaker. So wonderful. Lovelovelove it! Yay for Everest climbs!!

Am on a hunt for a new desktop computer. Leo is finally starting to die out, I'm afraid. The mom and I scoped out Best Buy and I think I found a good deal, but I'm going to shop a bit more before I go ahead and buy the sucker. Sad thing is that I am already thinking of names for it. Haha. I'm so lame.

Am also thinking about a new car. Sam the Saturn is six years old, and while he only has 48000 miles on it, I'd so like to have something cute and sporty. I keep saying that if I could find a Saturn Sky for a decent price and payment, I'd take it in a heartbeat. We shall see what happens before Saturn goes obselete. Heh.

Totally being obsessive with taking echinacea and using hand sanitizer with this whole H1N1 thing. Eep. Lord knows I don't need to get sick, but I feel so sorry for those who have had it or are getting it. Yikes. I think, however, my allergies are raging again, which sucks.

The novel writing muse is attempting to play tonight--something I am rather grateful for. I keep coming up with bits and pieces in my head and yet I can't seem to put them together. Sigh. This will happen, dang it. Grr.

Bed soon. Work at 8 am.

Good night!

Went out early this morning to pick up my beloved Keith Urban's new album "Defying Gravity". It's yet another phenomenal CD, and I love every darn song. I am beyond proud to be a fan. And speaking of Keith, the dad and I are going to see Keith on July 17th, with Sugarland as the opening act. I scored floor seats yet again, even closer to the stage than the last time! Color me excited!!

Sam the Saturn getting broken into two weeks ago issue was taken care of quickly, thank goodness. They did steal my Taylor Swift and Lady Antebellum CD's, but I have replaced those. They also stole my work tote bag and work binder, so I hope they are sorely disappointed by the lack of loot in there. Haha. Unfortunately, that also meant I had to redo said binder, but I had a lot of it memorized so it didn't take as long. Summer (the boss) gave me a hard time for redoing it. Hee. It made her laugh. What can I say--I'm a bit of a geek.

Have been blogging the Giants on MLB.com. My blog is here: Well Played!" if anyone wants to read. I enjoy writing the blogs, and my parents are amused by my writing style, for some odd reason. Heh.

Speaking of writing, the [livejournal.com profile] getyourwordsout challenge is still going fantastic. I hit my word count goal for the third month in a row, and I've written over 50,000 words this year so far! I'm just so happy writing again. The novel is moving along and I've also written a couple of more fics and scenes for the Reasons Why 'verse. And some of the new KU music is triggering the Tony/Hannah muse. Yay!

Have also been attempting to knit, along with continuing my felt projects. The mom got me a Knifty Knitter (hahaha) and I am attempting to make a scarf on the thing. So far, so good.

Got to visit with [livejournal.com profile] brightillusions on Sunday evening, which was nice. I hadn't seen her in a while and we got to talk and such. Had a good time. I've missed her.

Am off to be productive, which means off to color my hair (which I had cut this morning after my Target run) and listen to "Defying Gravity" again.

Have a good day!

Yay!

As my Chase icon says, I am not amused today. I got woken up at 8 am by someone pounding on my apartment door. I stumbled out of bed and to the door and found one of our head maintenance guys standing there and he proceeds to apologize for waking me up with 'bad news'. Of course, I was like 'huh?' and he then tells me my car was broken into last night and that my back window was broken. Sigh. From my bedroom window, it looks like the back passenger window, and nothing else. The maintenence guys said my radio was still there and everything, so at least there is that. All I have in there is laundry junk anyway. Haha.

Have already called my insurance company and Fresno PD (who will "be here when they can!"). I just don't know whether to call glass places now or wait until after the report is filed.

What a lovely way to start Monday off. Luckily, the people at Esurance are awesome and nice and didn't make me panic. Heh.

Unfortunately, I have to be at work at 11:30. Fresno PD better show up relatively soon. I've already called my amazing workplace and they say come when I am able to--so that rocks. But now my poor mom is probably going to have to drive in to take me to work and drive me home. Poor thing.

Sigh. It's going to be one of those weeks--and I just got off a four day weekend too. It was so nice. Lousy way to start my first day back.

Sigh.

So yesterday morning, I drove to work like normal and all was good. But as Lallen and I went out to my car to head to the bank, my car wouldn't start. So yada yada yada, I made a bunch of phone calls and eventually decided to just leave work early, and I called Rach to tell her and all was good. I go out to the mall parking lot and the blasted car started! I was glad because then I wouldn't have to tow it. I drove it to Saturn and called my mom, who came to get me and then I came out to my parents' house so I wouldn't be stuck at my apartment with no car.

So the quote they gave me was $320 or so yesterday. Well, they call me about 30 minutes ago, letting me know they did find a couple of problems, and oh yeah, it's going to cost over $800. I was ready to just curl up and die. I still feel like that. I just told them to do the blasted service and get it over with. I hung up my phone and burst into tears. I'm absolutely numb, and Sam the Saturn is very, very much on my crap list right now.

It never fails, two days before I go on my vacation, this happens. Ugh. There goes over half of my tax refund.

On the upside, I've been with my mom and dad, and we watched The Office and Grey's Anatomy last night. Didn't get to see Supernatural, but I assume they'll repeat it at some point. The mom and I also bought Clay Walker's new album at Target, and I'm in love with it. Ahh Clay, I've had a crush for freakin' ages. Heh.

Anyway. Sam is on my crap list, and I'm now going to just curl back up and mope for awhile. Grr. Hope everyone else has a good day.

Sigh.
