This is a very sad day. I'm bawling my eyes out. The commander of the shuttle was from Fresno. He had a Fresno State sweatshirt on the freakin' shuttle.

What a disaster. And SO near to the Challenger tragedy's anniversary.

God bless the families and the crew. This is such a sad day for the world (being that the first Israeli astronaut was on board Columbia), for NASA, for everyone.

I'm very--sad. This is such a terrible thing to be watching.

*hugs* It is a sad day. We've been watching since we came back from breakfast. We explained to the kids what was going on and it's all just so sad. And now watching Marc Garneau talking about all that stuff, it makes me want to cry.

I just can't stop bawling. It hit a little close to home this time, since Rick Husband was a Fresno State alumni. He was going to visit the campus in like...April to bring a photo of him on the shuttle wearing an FSU sweatshirt. I know the campus is going to be extremely sad on Monday.

And yeah, all the major news guys here are on TV and anytime they're on in the morning, it's a bad thing. *sigh* Everything is just so sad. My heart hurts. It's weird.

Love you. *hugs*

I can imagine. You're my space expert and stuff and when I found out I immediatly thought of you. *hugs*

The news guys are mostly annoying me right now. There was one who was tryign to pretend he knew what happened. Didn't believe him. That's why I didn't have much reaction when he was talking. But Marc Garneau. He's been in space. He was the first Canadian in space and he met the crew and everytime he said that maybe some of them had survived I had tears in my eyes. He so wants to believe that some of them survived and I can't help but hope too, you know.

*hugs* Love you muchly. I'll be online on and off today if you feel like talking about it, okay?

I just can't stop crying. They were on their way home, you know? Coming home to wives and husbands and kids. Gosh. When I saw it on my MSN page this morning, I immediately turned on the TV and bam, there it was.

I still have hope that Rick and the rest of the crew might have surivived too, but that hope is waning very much. With what I know about the shuttles, there was little chance for them. But some little part of me is saying they're going to be okay somewhere.

*hugs* On a happier note, I just got my Bean update for the day and look at what his next movie project is. Recognize one of the cast members he'll be working with? *g* http://www.compleatseanbean.com/troy.html

I know. They were so close to see their family. But like my sister said, at least they got the chance to realise their dream. They went into space. It doesn't make it less sad but at least they did get to go, you know.

I'm still hoping too. Even if it's small, it's there. We're waiting for the NASA conference.

*hugs* Oh that is one nice happier note. Bean and Orli are gonna work together again? THAT is interesting. And throwing Brad Pitt in it too. Yummy.

Such a bad, bad day. Although I totally agree. They got their dream. They just will never have the chance to share that with the rest of the world.

What's weird, and almost angering to me, is that so many people thought of Lance. I didn't give him one thought. I don't care about him, not on a day like this. There are real astronauts that were killed today, you know? Real doctors and scientists, and all that stuff. Sheesh.

I'm watching the NASA conference now. So sad. They care about each other so much, and it's got to be SO hard for them right now!

And yeah, according to Sean on a UK radio station this morning, it is looking like Troy is going to be his next project, but it is not set in stone yet. But hee! Bean and Orli working together again. I hope it works out. eee!

*hugs* I love you muchly, girl. I'll be on tonight, I'm sure.

The whole Lance thing. I had lots of thoughts about it today and if I see you online tonight, I'll tell you all about it because I'm pretty sure you'll agree with me on what I was thinking about.

It would be so cool to see Bean and Orli together in a movie again. Here's to hoping! hee!

I should be online later tonight. We're supposed to watch Sweet Home Alabama but after that, I think everyone will mostly go to bed(not me though hehe). :-) Love you muchly!

Heh. I'm sure I'll agree. Great minds think alike. ;) We will have to talk about it later.

Yes! Here's to hoping for Bean and Orli together again! Whee!
TM me when you get online, and I'll try to come back online. Am off to read for a bit.

Love you muchly.
