almosthonest: (best friends)
So I just got home from leaving [livejournal.com profile] bookofdays at the Fresno airport. I cried all the way out to my car and halfway home. It's all lonely in this apartment again. Hmph.

But this past week has been awesome. Once V finally got here Wednesday morning, I took her by the store and she saw my workplace and met Rach, Diana, and Erika, and then I drove her back to the apartment. We hung out most of the day, relaxing, and we watched the season finale of The OC and the CSI finale, Grave Danger. People, GD absolutely wrecked me. I cried. However, George Eads is my freakin' hero, and dear lord, if Billy Petersen doesn't just steal my heart in every scene. We met my parents for dinner at Panda Express that evening, and then waited for [livejournal.com profile] brightillusions to call. She came over around 7 and we just hung out and such.

Thursday morning, we left around 5:30 am for Disneyland. The original plan was to get there around 10 am, but we endd up getting to the park at around 11:45. The Grapevine ( this is the main way to get down to Los Angeles) ended up being closed, so thanks to CalTrans signs and my awesome father, we had to stake SR 58 to SR 14, and then hit I-5 again. It was a hassle, and traffic was nasty, but we made it to the park alive and well. We spent all day at Disneyland, and got drenched (literally) on Splash Mountain, but man, the day was awesome. I was with my best friend and one of my dearest friends in the world, and I was happy. Only got a bit sunburned, and mostly on my arm where my LiveStrong bracelet is. Haha. But that really was from my arm hanging out the window of the car. (speaking of my car...my Ben drove like a freakin' dream to LA and back. YAY!)

Friday, we drove back to Fresno and relaxed and such.

Saturday morning, we drove out to my parents' house and the four of us drove up to San Francisco. I wore my Jason Schmidt jersey out of love for my (craptastic) baseball team, so this year's photo of V and I has me in my Giants jersey and she in her Simple Plan sweatshirt. We were amused by that. SF was gorgeous and cold, and we had a great time. Hee.

Sunday, we hung out, went shopping at Target, and spent a lot of the day watching movies and CSI. We watched True Vinyl (because really, who could resist Eric Szmanda), PotC, and at least three more eps of CSI. I know we watched Stalker and Boom, but we had also watched many eps over the past few days, so who knows. Haha.

V is also my crack dealer (haha) and let me burn her S5 CSI eps to my laptop. I recall us watching "Viva Las Vegas" last night too, actually. Heh. Good times.

But it was so good to have Vero back here with me, and I'm terribly sad that she's not here anymore. Pout. Next year, methinks it's my turn to go back to Canada. Besides, she brought em more Canadian music, and I am happy. Shane, Theresa AND Billy CDs. Whee! And my "official" copy of Kalan's 219 Days. Sigh. Pretty, pretty curly haired wonder.

And randomly? All the CSI love we've shared the past few days has given me at least four new fic bunnies. One in particular keeps nagging at me, and another, is something Vero mentioned and now I'm going to have to run with it.

Off to be productive and not dwell on the quietness of the house again. Sniff. Grave Danger, here I come again. I could use a good cry.
