Home runs are fun!
Aug. 9th, 2003 07:40 pmRight. So the parents and I went to San Francisco yesterday. We left at about 1:30, got to SF about 4, went to Pier 39 for about an hour and browsed there. At about 5:30, we started heading towards Pac Bell Park for the Giants/Phillies game. After stop and go traffic, we got there at about 6:30, and Mom and I found our seats while Dad parked the car. We were on the third level, section 333 and row 15. WAY at the top on the left field side. Barry Bonds, baby. THE man was directly below me on the field.
The stadium is fabulous. I adored it. And the game was beyond cool. I got to see the Big Cat hit a home run (I so have a special place in my heart for Andres), I got to see Jesse (eee!) pitch, AND the best thing of all, was getting to see Barry hit a three-run home run into the water of McCovey Cove. It was the best thing EVER to see. Fog horns, water blasts, everything. SUCH an awesome thrill for Dad and I. The roar of the crowd was cool, but it wasn't the same without hearing Kruk and Kuip yelling about it. Heh.
I had such a good time, and I want to go back before the season ends (or at least before we go to the playoffs...;)). Hee. Awesome day yesterday. Plus, the food was good too. *snerk*
Anyway. Haldir! Oops, sorry, FotR is on tv again, and there's my boy Craig. I love him, I really do. Heh.
Work ended up okay today. Also bought myself four new sets of tealights. The meeting tomorrow morning was cancelled, so that is something good. Have to do Almanac tomorrow night from 6-midnight, and we are completely changing the walls of the store. Should be rather interesting.
Now, I go back to re-reading HP 5 and a few of my current favorite fics. V, I'll be on later, after Mom uses my laptop to check her mail. LOL.
And toniught, I leave you with two Ryan pics, since I was gone yesterday. The first one is from the AI Season 1 DVD, where he's all adorable and crying over how good this pair of girls were. So dang cute. The second one is a posed one in front of the striped background.

Have a good night!
