Oh my God.

This is a very sad day. I'm bawling my eyes out. The commander of the shuttle was from Fresno. He had a Fresno State sweatshirt on the freakin' shuttle.

What a disaster. And SO near to the Challenger tragedy's anniversary.

God bless the families and the crew. This is such a sad day for the world (being that the first Israeli astronaut was on board Columbia), for NASA, for everyone.

I'm very--sad. This is such a terrible thing to be watching.

Oh my God.

Commander Husband was supposed to be coming back to Fresno State within the next two months. He was bringing back a photo of him on the shuttle in the Fresno State sweatshirt. And now he's gone. God bless you, Cmdr. Husband.

And God bless William McCool, Laurel Clark, Michael Anderson, David Brown, Kalpana Chawla, and Ilan Ramon. These seven heroes are people who shape our world.

And I think, as much as I hate to say it, that President Bush had a beautiful quote from the Bible this morning. I am not religious in much of any way, but even I went and marked this passage in my own Bible.

"Lift your eyes and look to the heavens:
Who created all these?
He who brings out the starry host one by one.
And calls them each by name.
Because of his great power and mighty strength,
Not one of them is missing."
- Isaiah 40:26

I am very sad today. This hit very close to home. Kids lost parents, husbands lost wives, wives lost husbands, and parents lost kids this morning. THAT is more important than other things right now.
