If anyone has some extra good vibes they don't mind sending my way, I'd appreciate it. I just got back from an interview with a company I would absolutely LOVE to work for and would love to get this job. So if I could ask for a few extra crossed fingers or prayers, I'd be so grateful.

Meep. I so want this job! I think I did well today, so here's hoping they thought so too! *g* He said he really wanted to have someone hired by tomorrow, but his HR person said they had to keep the position open for a few more days, to which he rolled his eyes at. I laughed.

And last night's Grammy nominations mostly pleased me. Especially those for Lady Antebellum and John Mayer, and the nod to Trisha Yearwood and Keith Urban for "Let The Wind Chase You".

Off to be nervous for who knows how long while they decide. Pleasepleaseplease let me get this one!

Meep.

Got some good news this morning. Keep your fingers crossed for me on Thursday morning! I have an interview with somewhere I would LOVE to work. I only applied for this position on Friday night, so to be called only a couple of days later rocks! Woohoo! Please toss a few good vibes my way if possible!

Otherwise, I'm sort of bored at the moment, so a meme:

Stole this from [livejournal.com profile] tracy6167

50 ODD Things about you! If you opened this, FILL IT OUT! Learn 50 things about your friends, and let them learn 50 things about you!

I've had the beginning of Tony and Hannah's wedding (my NCIS "Reasons Why" 'verse) written for a long time now. I started to type it out this evening and I am now over 1200 words. I think I've fallen in love with them all over again. Heh.

Am attempting to think of a good, plausible plotline to tie NCIS and CSI: Miami together. I have a scene written for the RW 'verse that has Horatio in DC visiting Tony and Hannah. I need to write a fic to establish their relationship. I know I can do a dead Marine in Miami or DC with ties to Miami (I could even tie in the Mal Noche gang and tie in Marisol's death as well--gah!). But if anyone has any ideas, toss them my way. I don't know if I can pull off a crossover, but I sure want to try! So I'll take any ideas or help I can get! *g*

The parents and I went to San Francisco last week. It was nice up there, and we went shopping at Union Square all day. The mom and I ended up spending some money at The Container Store--a bad, evil place. If they had one here, I'd live there. Seriously. I got little tins for some of my scrapbooking things, and a daisy shaped container for the same things. And then I found a gorgeous pink notebook with tabs and lined, graph, and blank paper in it. Eee! I am such a notebook lover that I really couldn't resist it. I've already transferred my fic notes for Reasons Why into it, and I'm going to start keeping it as a writing notebook. Websites, plot notes, character descriptions,, even song lyric snippets, etc. But yeah, it was a nice trip, despite my knee still being injured.

Yeah, the knee is still jacked up. It is slowly getting better, and ice, heat, and Advil are helping--along with a new knee brace, an Ace bandage, and various other things. Mom got a homeopathic joint remedy at Whole Foods for Dad's elbow and it didn't work for him, but by golly it works for me. I'm using it religiously, and hopefully I'll be back to normal soon.

Still plugging away on the job hunt. Still frustrated, but hanging in there. Hoping to get a couple of calls on things this week. We shall see. Please keep your fingers crossed if you have a moment for me--I'd appreciate it.

Off to bed. Unless the writing bug sticks around. That'd be nice for once.

Good night. (morning!?)

Got to spend this evening with good company and good food. Me, [livejournal.com profile] brightillusions, and our friends (and in my case former co-workers) Lallen, Beka, and Josie took Rachael out to dinner tonight at The Cheesecake Factory. Rach leaves for Oregon on Wednesday morning. It makes me sad, but I am so happy for her. I am going to miss one of my best friends terribly--but I know I will see her soon.

It was really nice to hang out with the girls tonight, and to see friends. I needed it more than I thought.

Tomorrow the parents and I are driving up to San Francisco for the day. Should be nice and cold. Heh. I do love the cold. We're going to go to Pier 39 and downtown and do a bit of shopping. Oooh...new Giants stiuff. Hahah. Timmeh!

My knee is still in pathetic shape, but it is slowly getting better. I am keeping it in a brace or wrapped with an Ace bandage. I am fairly sure I messed it up stumbling on the stairs at my apartment complex last week. Ugh. It is driving me nuts! I can't kneel or squat down at all, but again, it is better than it was a few days ago, so I suppose I shouldn't complain too much. Will probably ice it as we leave tomorrow, so it should be okay, and Advil usually helps. Heh.

As I finish this, Dawson (our Australian shepherd) just crammed himself into the very small dog bed we have for our Jack Russell terrier Holly. Hahaha. The big dog thinks he can fit himself in it, and he sure does--tucking his nose in and everything. It makes me smile.

Am hoping to have some sort of job news this week--we shall see. It's increasingly frustrating, and I am getting a tiny bit worried about money, but I will be okay for a couple of more months if necessary. The parents and I have already discussed me moving back home for awhile, but that is definitely a last resort. I m hoping it won't come to that, but I know I have that support system should I need it, and to be honest, it would cut down on expenses. Sigh. I just don't want to be a burden on my fantastic parents--and I know they would never and don't see it that way, but I do--as a pretty independent person who has lived on her own for 4 years now!

I digress, though. And I am off to bed. Hope you all are well.

Good night!
