before I keel over from the effects of the NyQuil I took not long ago. Fairly sure UI am both slightly sick and dealing with an allergy attack that has taken my vocal cords over once more. At least now I know the trigger. Ugh. Anyone who knows what my voice sounds like normally--now think of it a good octave loer and all croak-y. Yeah, real attractive, let me tell you.
On the up side, at least I am not up to par this weekend instead of this coming weekend, as Dad and I are going to one more Giants game. This'll be our fifth game of the season! We've seen the Timmy three times, Randy Johnson once, and this time should be Jonathan Sanchez. Whee! If not, it'll either be Matt Cain or Brad Penny (who, by the way, was an awesome addition to our rotation!). I was hoping for Barry Zito, but perhaps next season. *g* This last game we are going to, I am going all out orange and black. May even go and get my nails done in team colors. We shall see. I have jewelry all ready, my scarf, my jersey, and black and orange ribbons for my hair AND I bought a shiny orange purse on Amazon. Meep. I am nothing if not devoted.
Work is good. We've been busy and starting to gear up for holiday. But overall, work is good and I lovelovelove it. I've made some good friends, that's for sure. Am contemplating going to Disneyland with a couple of them around my birthday, but we shall see.
Writing is still good. I've slacked the last couple of days because I haven't been feeling up to it, but I am up over at least 8000 words to where I should be, so I can afford to slack a bit. But I've had a couple of story things in my head lately, so this is a good thing. I went and bought a new laptop a couple of weeks ago. Got a nifty little red Acer netbook for a great price at Sam's Club, and I adore the thing (whose name is Aaron, I have to mention). The mom got a nifty pink zippered case for it, and I got a cooling pad, and I love it! I'm using it solely for my writing, and I'm still getting used to the tiny keyboard.
David Nail's album ("I'm About To Come Alive") came out two weeks ago and I've listened to it non-stop. Absolutely amazing CD, and I am so proud to have been a fan since the beginning. Sigh. Beyond proud of him!
And my dear
bookofdays has gotten me hooked on the vocal talent of Christian Kane. Holy crap with the awesome voice. Adore, man.
Ugh. NyQuil is starting to settle in, as the typing has to keep getting corrected. Off to down some more echinecea and go to bed. Work at 9:30 am. Happy Labor Day. Heh.
Good night.
