I hate the heat!

So it was 113* here today. I spent the afternoon at my parents' house, showing them some of the photos I took at the RF concert and the Michael Buble concert and just hanging out, and I headed back to my apartment at about 6 pm. I start noticing that traffic lights are out about a mile from my place. I think not much of it until I notice that ALL of them are out. I pull into my complex and into my parking space, and one of my neighbors asked if I had battery operated fans. I'm like, oh great, I know what's going on now.
The entire blasted street was without power, and it was 94* in my apartment alone. There was no way I was going to be able to stay at my place, so my parents had me come back to the house. And now, I sit here trying to find out if the power is on at my apartment, on the phone with PG&E. They suck, let me tell you. I have gotten no information. I give up. I pray my refrigerator is on when I get home tomorrow. Sigh.
I hate summer, I really, truly do.
Grr.
