Ugh. Sick.

Being sick completely sucks. Unfortunately, it's been happening a lot more lately. So not cool. I suppose I should be grateful I lived through the hell that is Black Friday working retail. Working retail management, rather. Sheesh. Black Friday--well, sucked. But hey, what can you do!? I'm just glad Thanksgiving weekend is over with work. Speaking of work stuff, I suppose at some point, I'd better fill some of you guys in on the--well, big changes that are headed my way in the next, oh, 8 months or so. Actually, the big changes that are headed my way AND [livejournal.com profile] brightillusions' way. There'll be a filtered, locked post in the near future.

Thanksgiving was very nice. Spent it with my parents, of course. We had a nice dinner, and it was just good to be at home with the parents and my dogs and cats. Sigh. Then, of course, Friday and yesterday were spent at work. And yesterday, of course, I proceed to get sick again. Grr. Also slipped and fell yesterday morning and scraped up my knee like I was five again. But! I didn't rip my nice pants, so there at least was a bright side. Heh.

The parents took me out of my cold-induced dungeon today to go see "For Your Consideration", which was reallly fantastic, as are all of Christopher Guest's films. It was a good movie. We then went shopping at Trader Joe's and they dropped me back at my apartment. I then drove over to Barnes and Noble and picked up a book to read and a writing magazine.

Have had the itch to write lately, but the muses are not cooperating. However, I may have revamped my baseball!AU fic a bit and replaced a couple of people, but I'm not owning up to that yet, or else [livejournal.com profile] brightillusions might gloat. And that's not cool. ;) But I really want to write, and I have all these series in my head, and I'm beginning to pout about uncooperative muses. Grr.

Anyway. Off to warm up again and take some more DayQuil. Joy.

Good night!
