I am in love with this song. I love the version with Jennifer Nettles, of course, because she has an incredible, amazing voice. BUt some country station in Texas got ahold of the original recorded version of the song, with had Keith Urban as the duet partner. It would have made it on the album, but due to record label controversy (namely Keith's label, Capitol), it got scrapped. But god, this version is amazing. I hjave a heck of a time picking out who is who singing at any given time. It's weird. It's only the little bit of a lisp that Keith has that I can tell who it is singing. He's so fabulous.

Awesome, awesome version. Keith sounds awesome with Jon and geez, I wish this version had worked out. Sob. Plus, the lyrics are slightly different, which rocks.

Am exhausted from the day at work. People were freakin' vultures. Eep. Am also tired from the birthday party I went to last night (Friday) for my niece Rylie's first birthday. That little munchkin gets more gorgeous everytime I see her. I had a good time.

Oh, and ramdomly? I am so cursing Memphis' basketball team for losing today. They made my NCAA brackets crash and burn. *has a SportsNight moment and makes sound* Gah, I'm pretty much out of the tournament now, being that I'd picked them to be my 2006 National Champion. But I digress, and my father will beat me this year. Hmph. Heh.

Bed now. Going to dream of this fantastic song. Must attempt to download this mp3 the next time I'm on the mom's DSL. Because this WILL blast in my car at some point very soon.

This is also a Danny Messer icon post. I made a Flack and a Danny/Flack icon today too, but it would take efforting to post them in here, so I'll GIP them sometime soon.

Good night!

The San Jose trip went well. Ended up coming home a day early, though. Working up there was nice. The parents came up to shop and stuff yesterday morning, we me tfor lunch at the mall, and I gave them the key to my hotel room, so they went and rested while I finished up at the store. I went back to the hotel, showered (being that I woke up VERY late yesterday morning, and couldn't even wash my freakin' hair. COlor me NOT amused.), changed into my sweatshirt and jeans, and decided to come home last night. So Dad drvie my beloved Ben the Saturn Ion home, while I rode in Mom's Vue, which I think I've decided to nickname Gil. Hah. It's silver, what can I say?

I have a lot of thinking to do for the next week and a half about my job. And about the job offer. I said I thought I could have a decision (or a prety decent one) made my March 1st. We'll see. I have good thughts and some hesitating thoughts right now, so I feel incredibly conflicted. I need to really write out a good pro/con list and I need to have a few discussions and things before I can decide. Sigh. We'll see what happens. I did find out a lot of information while I was up here that I didn't know about before, and I am not sure if that completely changes my mind at all, or if it helps in my decision making. I feel sort of strange about it, to be honest.

Never got a chance to thank my beloved Vero for the pretty yellow rose for my userinfo. Hee. It made ym Valentine's Day. Speaking of Valentine's Day, mine was relatively uneventful. Went to dinner with the parents, and my mom gave me a $25 gift card to JoAnn's Craft store. Gah. Evil. *g* Dad gave me a gorgeous sterling silver and diamond bracelet. They're S-links, so it looks like my initial all the way around. He was pleased with himself. Heh. But it was a nice Valentine's Day, despite my lack of a boyfriend. Snerk.

Got my mom hooked on Keith Urban on the drive home. She loves "You're Not My God" and "Tonight I Wanna Cry". Hee. I'm so proud. And speaking of Keith, the video for TIWC? Oh. My. Lord. He's gorgeous and the video was exactly what I was hoping for: the man and a piano. That's it. SighIlovehimmeep! He helped me make the drive to San Jose so much easier. I didn't freak out at all! Yay!

So I went shopping the day before I left for SJ, and bought Grey's Anatomy S1 on DVD, and may have also found a copy of "Proof Of Life" for like..$7.50. Did I buy it for Russell Crowe? No, no I did not. I bought it for a certain red-haired boyfriend of mine. Gah. I cannot believe I bought a movie for David Caruso! I apparently love him.

And randomly? I shouldn't be a bit jealous, but I am. Huh. Strange, that.

Ugh, I feel like a truck hit me today. Going to lounge here at the parents' house for awhile, then head back to my apartment. Work at 10 tomorrow. But I'll be home in time to see House, and the repeat of CSI: Miami. It's my Ryan's episode with the nail. *weeps* It kills me to watch it, but for that boy, I will again. Poor Ryan.

Mmm. Tired= bad.

Oh. My. God. Tonight's CSI was absolutely incredible. I made sure to tape it. That final scene? I completely burst into tears. I ADORE Lady Heather, and I am beyond thrilled that they brought her back this season. Gil broke my heart in that last scene. Love, I say. I am blown away by the ep, and I'll be watching it over and over. Amazing, amazing work by Melinda Clarke and Billy Petersen and the entire cast.

And last night, I cried all the way through Keith Urban's Grammy performance. He did "You'll Think Of Me" as amazing as he ever has. Even though it was a shortened version, he blew what we call the "live version ending" out of the water. He'd been sick for the previous two days, and man, he did a beautiful job. I am so proud of him. He's now a Grammy winner as Best Male Country Vocal Performance for "You'll Think Of Me", which he so deserved. And the performance with Faith Hill rocked. He was having a good time, and it showed. I also love that he had Nicole with him, and they were holding hands the entire time. They are so cute. He looked happy, and I'm so tickled! Plus, the black shirt? So hot. Guh.

I'm giddy tonight. Giddy, I say.

However, it is off to bed with me. Work at 7 am again, woo!

So I scored floor seats, section 5 , row F, seat 12, for Keith Urban at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, CA. December 16th, 2005. Alive In 05 Tour, baby! SCORE!

Am beyond ecstatic. Thank goodness for Monkeyville (the KU Fan Club) presales! I happened to come out to the parents' house this morning, logged on to the FC site and saw they'd put a presale up for Fresno, and that is started today at 10 am. I had 10 minutes to create a ticketmaster account and get ready. And bam, now I am for sure going to see Keith Urban on December 16th! Woohoo!!
